Rajasthan News: Both the tiger reserves in Kota-Bundi of Rajasthan are going to get a big gift soon due to the efforts of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Nine tigers and tigresses will soon be released in Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve and Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve. Apart from this, tiger safari will also be started soon by developing facilities in Mukundra Tiger Reserve.
In the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav and Rajasthan Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma, a meeting was held on Thursday (August 8) in the parliamentary constituency of Kota-Bundi on issues related to the Forest Department and both Tiger Reserves. In the meeting, Speaker Om Birla talked about increasing the number of tigers and other wild animals in both Tiger Reserves and starting a safari in Kota soon.
3 tigers and tigresses will be released in Mukandra Tiger Reserve
In this meeting, it was decided to release two tigers and one tigress in Mukundra Tiger Reserve, and six tigers and tigresses along with other wildlife in Ramgarh Vishdhari. It was decided to expedite the NOC process to complete the long pending development works in the forest land area of Kota-Bundi. Basic facilities will be developed in these areas under the Forest Land Act so that the common people can benefit.

During this, there was also a discussion on removing the obstacles in the operation of river cruise in Chambal river. The Union Forest Minister directed the officials to complete the proceedings related to cruise operation. The second phase of work which was stopped for a long time due to lack of budget in Abheda Biological Park will also start soon. Construction of new enclosures and other development works will be done here with CAMPA funds.
Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav has asked the state officials to send a proposal for this. Earlier, 35 enclosures were approved by the Central Zoo Authority, but at present only 13 enclosures have been built here. After the construction of new enclosures, crocodiles, aquatic animals and birds of various species can also be brought here.
